Funny, how many of the learned & supposedly wisest in DC think...
They claim that you need a degree from Harvard, Yale, Brown or some other Ivy League uppity snobby school to truly understand how America should be run...
These people have all the book learnin possible...but not a lick of sense.
They know politics inside and out...so..don't take much to be a brown-nose.
They know economics...but can't balance a budget.
They know Military Strategy...yet haven't served..
They know what's best for the Common Man..yet haven't even eaten a meal with them,
nor been to their house, met their kin, helped around the house, offered to pay one of
their bills, washed their clothes, changed their kids diaper, brought them a
bowl of soup when they were sick, took them to the doctor....

Yet they know what's best for America.
It's like having a 4x4 truck, lifted, with all the goodies that can be installed
for off-roading and never getting it off a paved road.

But, they know best....

Give me a man or woman with..
calluses on their hands,
sweat on their brow,
dirt on their clothes,
knows not to spend more than you have,
and, Common Sense....

They are worth more than all the education you can buy.

Yep..it's been awhile since I posted....duh.

My Uncle, who is married to my mom's sister died the other day.
Some folks called him JM and some called him Moon. My Aunt gave him this nickname
when they were dating because she said he could reach the moon. He was about 6'4".
Some say she labeled him Moon because of his height, I think it was because he promised her
the moon if she wanted it. He was JM to most.

He was a pulpwooder, charcoal burner, sheet-rocker, builder, contractor, shade-tree mechanic and other trades.
He drove trucks around here hauling pulpwood, when they loaded it by hand and with machinery. He drove them all across this great nation. His handle was "Good News".
He always had a joke or story to tell. You could hear him laugh from 3 hollers over or over a crowd. He liked a good old slobber-knocker college football game.
Alabama was his favorite, and anybody that played Auburn.
You would be hard pressed to find anybody that knew more Auburn, Florida, Texas, LSU or any University jokes and not repeat himself. Laughter was his best medicine.


But mostly he was a Husband, Father, Papa, Uncle, cousin, brother and many other titles.
Mostly he was a fair and Honest man. So hard to find now a day.
A God fearing Loving man of, I believe no equal.
He will be Greatly missed. I am privileged to have known him.
The Moon has set for the final time, We will miss you JM...

We had a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
Got snowed in the first part of the month.
Politics....about the same...buncha idgitz...
..why can't they
just quit proposing, amending, legislating, back room dealing and realize
America is in a jam. Yeah..., they all say it. But, I don't think
they get the picture. A LOT of them aint got a clue.

I think if your a millionaire already....you don't, I re-pete DON'T need
the salary, and benefits that come with the job.
Matter of fact,,,ya ought to be payin US.!!!.

NOPE!!

I say Happy Hanuka to those of the Jewish decent. Nothing wrong with wishing someone a Merry Christmas. Many Jewish folks I have met have wished me aMerry Christmas. Some even have a tree in their living room.

What is wrong is that a handful of liberal-brain dead-whiny-lack of common sense-enviro-communist want things their way. Now, if the shoe was on the other foot, they would be having Nativity Scenes in their front yards.
These people need to realize a few things. Were it not for Christian values taught about Christmas, many of their bleeding heart charities would not exist. Here in America they couldn't express their opinions without persecution from government. Imprisonment and possibly death.
In the middle east people are hung, beheaded, stoned, mutilated, imprisoned and more, just for disagreeing.

So, ALL you liberal-tree huggin-bunny lovin-enviroMENTAL conscience-socialist wanting-spread the wealth-hope & change idgitz...........

Aftermath of the Sixties...

I had a thought today..My mind has a tendency to ramble between several thoughts at once. I guess it would be mental multi-tasking...sorta. Others would probably consider it short attention span or maybe add,adhd or something along those lines.....anyway..

I got to thinking about the current goings on in DC and around the Nation. "Da Prez", Secretaries of ______,(fill in the blank), czars, heads of departments, (some of which we have never heard of), assistants, advisors and so on....

Many of these experts, department heads and afore mentioned seem to be leading the country into complete ruin. That is if they don't bankrupt US first!!
Some of them were born in the sixties, others were shortly after and some of them before that.
I went thru the sixties. Saw changes in people, politics, morals, technology, music, film, lifestyles, sports and all sorts of everyday life just to name a few. You folks that remember the sixties have some good and bad memories just like me.

A few things that really sticks with me today were the popularity of drugs, sex and revolutionary thoughts of many. Getting high, going on a trip and not even moving.
Marijuana, pot, weed, LSD, Cocaine, Heroin and ALL kinds of substances were used for recreation.. Ofttimes with bad results.
These were used to alter persons state of consciousness & thinking. Somehow they did this to awaken their mindset...never figured that out..
Experiments in sex were common place. Living together were growing in popularity.
Many people starting gathered together to form small communities or "Communes".
Short for Communist.
They basically had a mindset that all things belonged to the whole rather than the individual. Money, food, clothing, men, women all things were shared. Low morals and drug use were rampant in these communes.

Politics were not exempt from these communes. Many taking the communist and Socialist platforms to local and National levels. Back then many brushed this off as a fad, as fads were running perty rampant then.
BUT, these fads were beginning to take hold. Like weeds in a garden.
A lot of ideas were started then, seeds planted, plans put into motion. The roots of the weeds were taking hold.

Yeah I wonder a lot....

Anyway...these supposed-ed leaders we have now seem to be the result of those weeds taking hold...
I don't think I have witnessed such wet-behind-the ears ignorance ever!!!!
Financial decisions that boggle the mind!! If you don't have the money to pay for something then you don't spend it in the hopes that a future generation will pick up the tab..

The government was NOT set up to provide for US.

The gubbermint has NO, I repeat NO business in business!!!!!!!!!!
NO business in an individuals rights, liberties, be it financial, health or otherwise!!!

I believe the government was established to be like a guardian for the People.
NOT the caretaker, Big Brother, Mother, Father, thinker, bank, and such.

Laws were established to help protect US from the evasion and provoking from outside sources.

We have been invaded not from without but rather within!!!!

In summation, moral of the story---------.....

We should see whether or not a person was influenced from the sixties or is the result of it..........

I just got through watching the Kevin Costner movie "Swing Vote" again.
I like it, despite all them critics that dont, I got entertained and that's what counts.

If you haveen't seen it, do so. Watch it several times.

ESPECIALLY near the end. The part where they are having the debate, opps!! hope I didn't spoil it!!!

...anyway, in Bud's opening statement he talks about how our leaders need to do so. How they need to be giants, in order to carry the burden of office. ....got me to thinkin.....

Why should we elect someone who thinks they are above us?? most all politicianz think they are better than their fellow man. They may not show it...but they think it.
Some are highly educated, wealthy ofttimes both.
Very few are just your "average Joe".

We need, no, SHOULD DEMAND MORE from our elected officials!!

They should carryout the wishes of their constituents. Not the whining of their lobbyist, buddies, corporate interest and other "payer's".

WE The People are the ones who elected them.

We The People should be the recipients, not corporate. They SHOULD make sure that OUR safety and commerce are the precedent.
If they happen to make a bit on the side for it, well that's annuder story.
